Shiela has been baking since she was 9 years old, taught by her mother in a family kitchen filled with warmth and tradition. What started as a lifelong love of feeding people grew into something the whole community could enjoy — and in 2024, Sweets by Kataleya became official.

I'm a home baker in Beaumont, Alberta with a lifetime of love for baking. I learned when I was 9 years old, taught by my mom in our family kitchen. That tradition never left me.
Every loaf of pandesal, every swirl of ensaymada filling, every custom cake carries the same love she passed down to me.
I named this business after my daughter Kataleya — because everything I bake, I bake for family. In 2024, Sweets by Kataleya became official. But the heart behind every bake? That's been there since I was 9 years old.
